Only thing I would prefer to have been different would have been less fog.

Worth every step of the trek.

Recommend hiking in during the cooler mornings. Having a picnic at the actual cape split and waiting for the fog to lift before walking out.

The trailhead has good parking and access to outhouses that could use some more care to ensure they get emptied a little more often.

Quite easy to do and although it says 4-5 hours there and back we took about 2.5 hours. We did the trail in October and there were lots of wet patches but most had trails around the problem areas. Not difficult

The trail is in decent condition and the views are stunning. We started hiking just after 10am and it wasn't busy but on our way back down we passed a lot of people. If you're not a fan of crowds and passing others constantly on your way up, go in the morning. The parking lot was full when we left.

The number 1 place in the world for the most beautiful birthstone "bloodstone" and that is just 1 of the many natural beautys around every corner.

The trail was well marked and lovely to walk. The outhouses on the trail about 2km in were much better maintained or maybe less used then the ones in the parking lot.

It's about an hour and a half casual walk to the cape. The views at the end are excellent, but unfortunately the entire hike is quite boring compared to many basic trails in Nova Scotia. It's also a really busy trail, so you don't really feel like you're out with nature. Much better than walking on a treadmill though!

Beautiful views at the end. Wouldn't take much to make the trail perfect end to end.
